How much does Zyn cost?
No manufacturer publishes a price for Zyn, and we will not print one we cannot source. Enter what you pay. A can of Zyn holds 15 in classic and 20 in ultra, so the same shelf price is a different price per pouch depending on the line. Your last receipt has the number, tax included, and that is the number that matters.
Your local price. Prices vary by state and tax.
Pick a format and enter your local price to see the numbers.
Per pouch, by line
The price divided by 15 for classic or 20 for ultra: that is the per-pouch figure, and everything else is that figure times a count. At a can a day the day costs one can whatever the line. At ten a day a 15-count can lasts 1.5 days and a 20-count lasts 2. The calculator asks which format you buy before it computes anything, because the answer differs.
A year at your count
Enter a price and the calculator shows a day, a week, a month and a year side by side. The year is the daily figure times 365. At five a day that is 122 cans of 15 and 91 cans of 20 a year; at a can a day it is 365 cans; at two cans a day, 730. Pouches per day is the only number you control; the price is the market's.
Taxes change the math
Some states now tax pouches like other tobacco. The one example in our research: Illinois raised its tobacco products tax from 36 to 45 percent on July 1, 2025 and newly included pouches, so a can that starts around $5.60 before tax rings up at $9.92 (Axios, citing Tobacco Insider). That is close to double. Whatever your state does, the calculator only ever uses the price you type.
What quitting saves
The dashboard runs a saved counter from the moment you mark your last pouch, at your own daily cost, minus anything you log afterwards. During a taper it counts only the days you logged or confirmed; a day you forgot to log counts for nothing.
Questions anons ask
- Why is there no Zyn price on this page?
- Because no manufacturer publishes one, a retailer page is not a source, and we refuse to print a price we cannot source. Shelf prices differ by state, store and tax — some states now tax pouches like cigarettes — so the calculator uses your number, not ours.
- Does the counter include tax?
- It includes whatever you enter. Enter the price you pay at the register and the counter is right for you.
- Which line do I pick in the calculator?
- The one you buy. classic is 15 and ultra is 20 (https://us.zyn.com/questions/, as of 2026-09-02). The count on the can is the only thing that changes the per-pouch math.
The counter on the dashboard runs from your last pouch. This page is the math.
